FAQs

What is a Free Tour?

Led by experienced, qualified and local freelance guides, this is an amazing way to experience and bring to life the history, culture, and life of real Dublin. Experience Dublin through the eyes of a local expert who has crafted their own tour, unique to them.

The tour takes around 2.5 hours, covering the most important sites in the city.
Guides working with Unearthed believe in providing the highest quality tours, leaving you with lasting memories and memorable stories of your time here. They have a passion not only for Dublin, but for sharing a unique experience with guests.
We work alongside some of Ireland's most experienced and highly rated guides to provide a Free Tour of Dublin on a tips-only basis. Your guide is not paid by the city or any business to deliver these quality tours.

Your guide will happily accept any tips/donations based on the quality of their work.

Does the tour run in bad weather?

Tours will run in all weather! If the weather becomes too dangerous we will email all guests in advance if tours are effected. If it's raining all tours will run, it is Ireland after all!

Do I need to book in advance?

Due to Covid19 restrictions, we currently have a limit of 14 guests per tour. You must book your tour in advance online. To avoid disappointment, please make sure you have your place reserved.

Is the tour wheelchair accessible?
Yes, Dublin is a relatively accessible city for wheelchair users. Our Free Tour, Dark Dublin and The Women Of Ireland Tour are all wheelchair accessible. We would not recommend our Howth Tour due to the natural rough terrain.

Are children accepted on tours?

Children of all ages are welcome on our tours however, due to the content of the Dark Dublin Tour, we would recommend an age of 15 years or older.
