HOWTH TOUR

Venture out of the city to see beautiful nature and be back in time for dinner!

Within 30 minutes on the train you will travel from the busy city, immerse yourself in the breath-taking coastal views and see the authentic Emerald Isle with a native guide.  On the doorstep of the city, venture into a beautiful world of stunning cliff views, incredible trails, and amazing history from the fairies, Vikings, to modern day Howth.

With amazing views from the harbour we’ll explore the Viking past and Norman invasion. We’ll take in the ruins of a Viking abbey before making our way to Howth’s breathtaking natural beauty, winding our way along the cliff walk to views overlooking the Bailey Lighthouse, with ample opportunity for the photos you want to take home.

We’ll stop for a nice break before heading through the forestry to explore more picturesque views from Muck Rock, where you can see Dublin from above.

Delve into the ancient world of fairies and folklore at Aideen’s Grave, hear of a pirate Queen at Howth Castle, before finishing up back in the harbour, where you can stay for a bite to eat and a pint, or return with the guide to the city centre.

The Tour of Howth includes:

Howth Harbour
St Mary’s Abbey
Balscadden House
Cliff Walk
Bailey Lighthouse
Muck Rock
Rhododendron Gardens
Aideen’s Grave
Howth Castle

and more….
